Donald Nicolson

Donald Nicolson has very recently returned to New Zealand from the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague, the Netherlands, studying harpsichord with Ton Koopman and Tini Mathot. He has been focussing especially on the interpretation of the 16th-century English School, but more recently, the music of 17th France.

Donald has appeared as keyboardist with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Vector Orchestra and Stroma. Although a dedicated Baroque student, he is also driven by the contemporary repertoire of the harpsichord.
